Cabin Habit

I was contacted in February by Cabin Habit to see if I thought it would be possible to use oilcloth as a wallcovering.  I had seen one other picture of someone doing this so sent some samples for them to test and look at the result!  The oilcloth used is Blue Flower Garden and it looks amazing!  Cabin Habit create the coolest garden buildings I have ever seen, they are based on the old wartime Nissen hut structures and come in different sizes, with or without electricity and with fabulous style options.
Check out their website, but be warned, you will REALLY want one!

Is it really that long??

Whoops.. I know it has been a while but 2011!  What can I say, it has been a busy busy time.. We bought a house, renovated a house and had a baby!  Business continues to be busy and at times I have struggled to keep up with orders but a couple of hours packing in the early hours when the little fella is asleep usually does it!   We have more and more wholesale customers from cafes and restaurants around the country and have introduced some new pricing for small retailers/makers who regularly order 10+ metres. Contact us for details if you are interested.  I also continue to be amazed and delighted by the way our oilcloth is used by talented customers, more of that to come..

Creative minds are rarely tidy!

In these busy weeks leading up to Christmas my workroom has gradually become more and more chaotic until I could stand it no more and had a huge tidy up! We won't venture into the main store room but here is a peek at my office... I wonder how long I can keep it like this?

Limited Edition Sparkly Doves Necklace

Our Dove necklaces in blue and white have been really popular since we launched them over the summer so we thought it would be nice to have some made in sparkly acrylic for the festive season. We were so excited when they arrived last week! These necklaces really catch the light! Available as a limited edition in gold or black/silver. Grab them while you can!

Finding Frida in Paris

We have just returned from an amazing holiday in Paris, which is one of my favourite places! The week went something like this.. fitting in as many metro journeys as possible, walking our socks off, wine, cheese, art, museums, churches, dodging sprinklers in parks, champagne picnics, watching joggers while eating icecream, getting unexpectedly sunburnt, eating our body weight in salted caramels, small triumphs with language, fancy french macaroons, adoring MonoPrix, in awe at Bon Marche Grand Epicerie and bumping into a familiar lady down in the metro!

More pics of our Paris trip can be found here. It's hard adjusting to being back in the drizzle but a huge delivery of new stock has just cheered us up.. time to start sorting it all out and getting it on the website.. more of that soon x
